Monitoring evaluation
The global dynamic environment of development programmes and projects requires on-going monitoring and fine-tuning at all levels whether as regards working methods, material and human resources mobilisation, cost effectiveness or even global objectives, with the emerging of concerns such as environmental responsibility, and enhanced concepts of Rule of Law.
- In the framework of the pursuit of aid effectiveness, stakeholders are in search of greater visibility and accountability.Monitoring and evaluation tools and methods are becoming increasingly complex, especially as relates to public policies, economic reforms, poverty reduction and integrated approaches to development
- From the start, DMI has built up in-house capacity and developed a strong network of dedicated experts to cover all areas of Monitoring and Evaluation. Experts participate in the upgrading of Monitoring and Evaluation tools and techniques. DMI routinely:
designs and structures M&E programmes and
conducts ex ante, in itinere or ex post evaluations.
DMI is actively involved in Results Oriented Monitoring (ROM), Cost-benefits analyses, Feasibility studies and needs assessments, Benchmarking and comparative research, strategic planning missions, and impact assessments.
For ten years, DMI has regularly managed or conducted, as part of implementing consortia, ROM missions for EC funded projects, in Asia, in ACP countries and in ENPI countries. The company has also conducted assessments of various type
- at national level: EU-China Trade Programme II, Monitoring and Evaluation programme of Ukraine PCA, Action plan and reform policies
- at regional level: assessment of Euro-Mediterranean export promotion agencies - ANIMA network; evaluation of MEDA economic cooperation,
- at global level: evaluation of activities of International Trade Centre co-managed by UNCTAD and WTO; evaluation of UNCTAD capacity building activities for Trade (train for trade global programme)
