EU-China Managers Exchange and Training Programme (METP China)

Description

The overall objective of the project is to support China’s reform process and to promote mutual understanding between China and the EU through the development of Human Resources.
The project aims at meeting the demand for EU-China co-operation towards improved management and intercultural exchange capacity for key players in the profit and non-profit sectors.
The specific objective of this contract is:To improve management skills and understanding of European business practices of Chinese managers through management training in, and through exposure to, a European environment;
And more specifically:
To support and facilitate business management training for Chinese managers in Europe.
The main results to be achieved consist in :Management training to up to 200 Chinese managers successfully delivered in 5 intakes during the life span of the project ;
key players able to contribute to China’s reform process after having reached a level of management skills that enables them to use effectively their know-how, gained through their exposure to the European society, economy and business environment;
Training for these Chinese managers supported and facilitated in a timely fashion, with up-to-date methodologies, and with satisfactory arrangements and accommodation;
Suitable training modules for teaching management and business knowledge for these Chinese managers developed and regularly improved;
Introduction of these Chinese managers to European institutions, company and study visits in different EU Member States and other relevant activities successfully supported and implemented.
