Elaboration of an export / industrial development / investment promotion strategy for the Ivory Coast and reorganization of the country’s promotional services and agencies in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade. This included analysis and recommendations of the means of developing closer contacts and co-operation between the three main representative bodies qua producers (FNISCI), investors (CEPICI) and exporters (APEX-CI).

The project included five main components: Institutional strengthening of the PCA Secretariat -its structure, its working methods, its management procedures, its relations with its professional environment, its logistics; Strengthening of implementing Ministries, Parliamentary Committees and the State Department of Statistics – via seminars, training, and working groups.

The general and specific objectives, and the expected outputs:
General objective: to support government intentions in preparing and organizing Buthan’s accession to WTO;
Georgia Export Promotion Strategy (GE 08): Elaboration of the Georgia Export Credit and Export Promotion Strategy and Export Policy
Overall objective is to reduce Georgia’s large trade deficit, in the context of her eventual accession to the WTO, through the expansion of registered exports of finished and semi-finished products;
Short term objective is to produce a blueprint for the principal elements of a trade Promotion Strategy and of an Export Promotion Agency in Georgia.
The project involved institutional strengthening to support legal and economic transition and reform including development of coordination mechanisms for the development of policy and legislation, and strengthening of the justice system. The project involved the development of a database on legislation and state-aid measures, review of legislation according to WTO requirements, development of WTO compatible legislation, development of an organisational structure for review of legislation and development of a strategic plan for the reform of the judicial system.
The objective of the project is to propose a national sustainable strategy for the island of Corsica based on diversification of productions and exports diversification. Based on this strategy the project propose a new organisation of the regional and local instititutions and promotional instruments in order to support in a more efficient way the companies already exporting and having an export potential outside the island.
