The overall objective of the Trade Needs Assessment is to assist Sri Lanka to benefit more from international trade through increased and more effective participation in the multilateral trading system.
Enabling Sri Lanka to comprehensively integrate trade (-related) matters in its development policy and strategy and coordinating donor activities and catalysing additional funding for TRA are part of this objective.
The specific objective of this assignment is to prepare a Trade Needs Assessment that identifies all constraints Sri Lanka is facing in participating in the international trading system and that recommends a prioritised list of actions to remove the constraints
