Identification of SME issues related to the negotiation and implementation of regional trade agreements with Africa in the framework of public-private dialogue

Description

The objective is to develop and implement an appropriate public-private dialogue (PPD) for the identification of SME issues related to the negotiations and implementation of trade agreements with Africa.

In parallel, the project looks to assist the Ministry of Trade and Export Development (MTED) and other government structures in addressing these issues to enable SMEs to better exploit the commercial potential of sub-Saharan African markets.

The project is made up of four phases:

  • Phase 1: Development of a methodological approach to carry out the mission,
  • Phase 2: Preparation of PPD,
  • Phase 3: Implementation of PPD: identification of SME issues related to the negotiations and implementation of regional trade agreements,
  • Phase 4: Support to state structures in addressing some of the issues identified.
